get started with Lagree

Here are some tips for your first Lagree class

1. Bring grippy socks

These are for safety and to help your feet stay in place while pushing or pulling the carriage. You can buy them at the studio or bring your own. Arrive early: Get to the studio 10–15 minutes before class so you can learn how to use the Megaformer and get instructions from the instructor.

2. Wear comfortable clothes

Dress in athletic wear that you can sweat in.

3. Hydrate and nourish

Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during the class, and eat a light, balance meal about two hours beforehand.

4. Go slow

The Lagree method focuses on slow, even counts for each move.

5. Listen to your body

Start at your own pace and gradually increase the intensity.

6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help

The instructors are trained to help first-timers.

7. Pick a machine in the middle

This will allow you to watch more experienced students and adjust your form.

8. Be prepared for soreness

Your muscles might be sore after class.
